iPhone Photography Awards 2014 sees stunning snaps
It is quite amazing how far people have come in terms of the quality of photographs clicked with smartphone cameras. In spite of the miniscule size of the things involved, some top smartphone cameras can even take better snaps compared to a lot of dedicated point and shoot cameras if it meets with right conditions.
Nokia’s Lumia 1020 is, still, probably the king when it come to best mobile cameras. Apple iPhone lineup has been an industry leader since it was first launched in the year 2007. And since that time, IPPAWARDS has held an contest each year in an effort to find the most stunning snaps in the world which were captured by iPhones.
The contest site said that the iPhone Photography Awards is the first and the longest running iPhone photography contest since 2007. iPhone Photography Awards has been celebrating the creativity of the iPhone users since the first iPhone has inspired, excited and engaged the users worldwide. Since then every year, iPhone Photography Awards has selected the best snaps among thousands of images submitted by iPhone photographers from more than seventy countries around the world. Winners are selected by the jury members in many steps and The Photographer of the Year prize awarded.
Winners were announced earlier this week for 2014 contest. There were no spoilers there. With lots of people walking around with an 8 MP camera embedded into their smart phone, it is quite easy to think you are something of an Annie Leibovitz or a Mario Testino.
